Phosphorus test is for people suffering from:
A kidney disorder or uncontrolled diabetes
Abnormal phosphorus levels

Main purpose of the Phosphorus test:
To evaluate the level of phosphorus in the blood and to aid in the diagnosis of conditions known to cause abnormally high or low levels of phosphorus

Sample Required:
Blood sample obtained by inserting a needle into a vein in the arm
If a timed urine sample is required, the person will be asked to save all of the urine over a set time period (generally 24 hours)

Test Preparation Required:

Overnight fasting may be required prior to collecting the blood sample
