Main purpose of the Hemoglobin test:

To find out the amount of hemoglobin in the blood
To determine if a person has low levels of red blood cells, which is a condition known as anemia
To diagnose health problems like liver & kidney disease, blood disorders, malnutrition, some kinds of cancer, and heart & lung conditions

Sample Required:
Blood sample drawn from a vein in the arm, or by fingerstick
