Main purpose of the Glucose Tolerance Test:
A glucose tolerance test is used to diagnose type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and gestational diabetes mellitus.

Blood sample (Plasma/Serum/Urine)
Test Preparation Required:
Test requires an individual to fast for 10-12 hours. The first blood draw will be taken upon arrival to the lab. The individual will then be given a drink that contains a said amount of glucose. The next two/three blood draws will be taken at 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours after the glucose drink is consumed
